NovuHealth meets NCQA standards, earns certification for health appraisal and self-management tools

NovuHealth, the health care industry’s leading consumer engagement and behavior change company, has earned Wellness & Health Promotion Certification from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its health appraisal and self-management tools.

NCQA Certification is a rigorous, voluntary process, underscoring NovuHealth’s commitment to the quality of its health care member engagement programs. NCQA standards are intended to help organizations achieve the highest level of performance possible, increase healthy behavior change in eligible individuals and create an environment of continuous improvement. Achieving 100% in each of the certification categories, NovuHealth meets the highest standards of the health and wellness industry.

With an NCQA-certified status, NovuHealth enables its customers seeking NCQA accreditation to more easily meet quality standards. For health plans, this means NovuHealth’s health appraisal and self-management tools automatically satisfy NCQA Member Connection Standards (NCQA MEM Standards).

NovuHealth’s health appraisal is a digitally delivered, print-ready questionnaire including 34 aspects of health and wellness outlined by CMS. Following completion of the health assessment, members receive personalized feedback and recommendations for programs that can help them take action on the areas of their health where room for improvement exists. Members are then able to use NovuHealth’s self-management tools, including programs on healthy eating, healthy weight maintenance, managing stress and tobacco cessation, to actively participate in their own health and well-being.
