We love it when people ask what NovuHealth does, especially reporters, because it gives us a chance to share how we help the health care industry provide a better experience and improve care.

Recently, our very own Jordan Mauer, NovuHealth’s EVP of Marketing and Member Engagement, had the opportunity to speak with Neil Hughes, the host of the Technology Writer blog and podcast and contributor to the Next Web, about what we do and why we do it.

As Neil notes, thousands of people every year skip health screenings because these visits can be inconvenient or because they’re busy or just don’t want to go. Just 25% of adults ages 50 to 64, and less than 40% of adults ages 65+, are up to date on core preventive services such as mammograms and cancer and diabetes screenings.

NovuHealth is trying to change that by working with health plans to improve member engagement to drive positive interactions, inform members of benefits and influence healthy activities. Not only does this create a better experience for the health plan member—which contributes to retention and satisfaction—but it also drives higher quality ratings and financial performance.
